Fully Flight Tested TRL-9 System
SPYDR is a fully-flight-tested, TRL-9, physiological and environmental sensor platform designed for assessing military pilot performance.
Stand-alone Earcup System
SPYDR houses the main components required for sensor integration including multiple microprocessors, input/output pathways, and solid-state memory cards.
Real-Time Data, Real-Time Warning
Stand-alone biomonitoring provides programmable real-time aural alerts. Simple to install, easy to use, and reported comfortable by users.
Features
INTEGRATED WARNING
SPYDRs real-time warning system using state-of-the-art bone conduction technology. Compatible with all helmet audio systems including PACE and ACCESS. Zero integration with aircraft audio required.
ZERO AIRCRAFT INTEGRATION
SPYDR is truly stand alone- does not require aircraft power or data access. Built in battery has triple-redundant safety features and is certified "safe to fly." Battery life is good for 20+ hours in flight and more than a year on the shelf.
LIGHTWEIGHT
In most cases SPYDR adds ZERO weight to the helmet. Using lightweight, impact resistant materials and miniaturized electronics weighing in at just 70 grams, SPYDR can be incorporated to any helmet with no perceived change in weight and balance.
CLOUD BASED DATA ANAYTICS
SPYDR data is downloaded after each sortie, data masked for pilot confidentiality protection, and aggregated for top-down analysis at user defined access levels.
SAFE TO FLY CERTIFIED
SPYDR has been tested by the USAF and the Navy in the centrifuge, altitude chamber, and ROBD and has flown in T-6, T-38, T-45, F/A-18C/D/E/F, EA-18G, F-16, F-15C/D, and
F-15E aircraft.
SIMPLE INSTALLATION
Installation takes less than 60 seconds for most users and is backwards compatible with all flight helmets and peripheral equipment. Biosensors are transparent to the user and SPYDR's smart sensing technology means ZERO added workload for aircrews and flight equipment maintainers.
SPYDR Performance Measurements
SPYDR collects and assesses a wide range of physiological parameters correlated to environmental parameters linked to real-time performance warning system.
BIOMETRIC PARAMETERS
Blood Oxygenation
Cerebral Perfusion
Body Temperature
Respiratory Rate
Heart Rate
ENVIRONMENTAL PARAMETERS
Acceleration
Cabin Pressure
Ambient Temperature
Exhaled Air Quality, CO2 Concentration and Total VOCs
Inhaled Air Quality, Oxygen Concentration, Pressure, Temperature and Humidity
The Spotlight Labs model is to integrate a set of correlated physiological and environmental measurements collected by SPYDR to generate a predictive model of human performance. These data streams can be linked to identifiable events utilizing data analytics to characterize human performance, including fatigue, stress, cognitive workload, and cognitive performance.
